About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Educational Psychologist to join our Mental Health in Schools Team at Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our Mental Health Support Teams programme, working closely with schools and colleges to develop their whole-school approach to mental health and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the assurance of the competence and confidence of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) to offer consultations, workshops, and assemblies within education settings.
  • Be responsible for the analysis of school audits and hold a caseload, supporting the CYP patient flow through supervision.
  • Work collaboratively with the leadership team and external stakeholders to deliver the MHST programme.

Person Specification
  • Doctorate in Educational Psychology (DEdPsy) or equivalent in Applied Psychology.
  • Pre and post-qualification training in specialist assessment and treatment of children and young people with complex mental health problems, neuropsychological assessment, research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychology.
  • Experience of working with a wide variety of children and young people, with varying social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
  • Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency setting, or a CAMHS setting.
