Job Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Orthopaedic and Spinal Operating Theatre Team, supervising, assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating perioperative patient care. They will also work closely with all disciplines to ensure the effective running of Orthopaedics and Spinal surgery and supported services within the health board's theatre suites.
Key Performance Indicators:The post holder will be involved in attaining and reporting key performance indicators, which will contribute to the overall success of the service. They will also be responsible for staff deployment, supervision, and teaching within the clinical areas and provide clinical and managerial leadership to Nursing/Operating Department Practitioners and support staff.Salary:
We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your basic salary, you will also receive access to a range of benefits, including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave.
Requirements:- Registered General Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner on an appropriate part of the NMC/HPC Register
- Relevant Post Basic Theatre Course of equivalent experience
- In possession of, or working towards an appropriate Degree
- Demonstrate the ability to be innovative and lead change
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate an ability to teach within the multidisciplinary team
