Lead Nurse Therapeutic Apheresis Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Therapeutic Apheresis services to patients across the region.
Main Responsibilities- Manage and lead a team of nurses to provide safe and effective Therapeutic Apheresis services.
- Be responsible for all aspects of nursing and clinical care of patients, ensuring a safe environment.
- Develop and implement clinical standards and best practices within the team.
- Provide clinical expertise and guidance to colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with donors and patients on all issues related to donation.

Requirements- Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
- Masters degree or equivalent relevant experience gained working at senior nurse level.
- Leadership and/or management training or experience equivalent to degree/Diploma level.
- Teaching/assessment qualification eg ENB 998, Mentorship in Practice, NVQ A1/A2.
- Evidence of recent post-registration/educational learning.
- Evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
- Demonstrate experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating changes in clinical practice at strategic level.
- Experience of initiating and supporting the professional development of others and yourself.
- Understand the principles of clinical effectiveness and best practice, and have the ability to initiate changes to service provisions and practices to ensure high standards of clinical care.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of clinical audit and research.
- Experience of planning and delivering teaching programmes within a clinical environment.
