Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality Therapeutic Apheresis services to patients and facilitating the collection of special donations within Donor Services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead a team of nurses to provide safe and effective Therapeutic Apheresis services.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of nursing and clinical care of patients, ensuring a safe environment.
  • Develop and implement clinical standards and best practices within the team.
  • Provide clinical expertise and guidance to colleagues.
  • Communicate effectively with donors and stakeholders.
About You

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Experience of planning, implementing, and evaluating changes in clinical practice at a strategic level.
  • Experience of initiating and supporting the professional development of others.
  • Understanding of clinical effectiveness and best practice.
  • Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.
  • Master's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Leadership and/or management training or experience.
  • Teaching/assessment qualification.
  • Evidence of recent post-registration/educational learning.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
