About the Role

Royal Free London Property Services Ltd is seeking an exceptional Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the operational excellence of estates, facilities, property, and capital support services at the Royal Free London Hospital.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day operations, driving service improvements aligned with the Trust's corporate vision.
  • Foster a cultural shift that enhances patient experience.
  • Develop and deliver site-specific strategies in accordance with statutory and mandatory drivers.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in the delivery of estates and facilities management services.
  • Provide operational leadership for the Hard & Soft FM service level agreement at the Royal Free London Hospital.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust Values.
  • Master's degree in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering, facilities management, or equivalent.
  • Significant and relevant estates or facilities operational management at senior level in both the public and private sector.
  • Wide technical knowledge, including legislation.
  • Management of operational estates and facilities budgets.
  • Planning and delivery of cost improvements.
  • Development and implementation of multiyear asset management plans inclusive of modernisation and PPM related aspects.

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Demonstration in the ability to make difficult decisions at senior management level.
  • Implementation of Estates and facilities services strategy and action plans.
  • Managing a large and multidisciplinary team in a related setting.
  • Modernisation and change management with ability to evidence.
  • Achievement of operational management objectives that delivers high performance and quality outcomes that are measurable.
  • Polished presentation skills.
  • Ability to maximise the use available department resources in the achievement of set objectives.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Good negotiation skills.
  • Project management experience.
