We are pleased to be working with a reputable consultancy to recruit a Geotechnical or Geoenvironmental Engineer as part of their team.
About the RoleThis engineer role focuses on working within a team of experienced geotechnical and geoenvironmental specialists to provide consultancy services to clients in various sectors. The ideal candidate will have worked in a Graduate or Junior Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineer or Consultant role and is looking to take the next step up, or someone who has been successfully working in a Consultant role and is looking for a new challenge.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting pre-construction investigations on site, including ground testing, soil sampling, and data collection and analysis, followed by producing detailed reports.
- Planning geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects based out of the Bristol office, helping to identify and set key timeframes and milestones for project delivery.
- Taking responsibility for the coordination of project resources including labour, materials, and suppliers.
- Analyzing and assessing data to produce outcomes for projects, using relevant software and technical knowledge, including health and safety standards and technical guidance documents.
- Working to schedule and analyzing Chemical and Geotechnical Testing Data as provided by third parties.
A Bachelor's Degree in either Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or an adjacent/relevant field is required. A secondary qualification such as an MSc or MEng is also desirable but not essential. The ideal candidate will have between 2-5 years of proven experience working in a role based around the site supervision of investigation works and projects.
They will be self-sufficient and self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and desire to progress. Computer and geotechnical software literacy is essential, as is a full UK clean driving license and willingness to travel as part of the role.
