Job Title: Apprenticeship Quality Officer

The Bread Factory Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Officer to join our team. As a Quality Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our food manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coach and train teams on food safety and quality standards and requirements
  • Make informed decisions and determine solution outcomes to ensure product safety and quality
  • Be the primary contact for food safety and quality issues in the bakery areas
  • Manage non-conforming material and ensure it is not released to customers
  • Conduct Good Manufacturing Practice audits and Glass and Hard Plastic audits as scheduled
  • Check manufacturing records and compile audit reports and summaries
  • Ensure root cause analysis is carried out for significant or trending non-conformances
  • Verify and calibrate key equipment and conduct organoleptic assessments
  • Train quality system procedures and product information to relevant teams
  • Investigate customer complaints and provide reports detailing root causes and actions taken
  • Conduct traceability audits and present them internally and to customers
Requirements:
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organized and good time management
  • Good communication skills
  • Influencing skills
  • 2+ years of food manufacturing experience, preferably in a technical role
  • Level 3 HACCP
  • Level 3 Food Safety
  • Auditor Qualification
  • Recognized allergen qualification
  • A basic understanding of customer codes of practice
  • Training in root cause analysis methods and tools
  • Train the trainer
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, especially Excel
