We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Technician to join our team at LiCa Scientific Ltd. As a Quality Control Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out day-to-day quality control processes in the operational and laboratory environments.
- Ensure raw material, in-process, and product testing is effectively and accurately carried out using specified methods and accurately record results in SAP.
- Advise on corrective actions and appropriate recording methods to maintain manufactured product within specification.
- Perform additional quality-related testing and investigation, and take lead on quality matters as needed.
- Carry out and report upon investigative test work required, such as non-conforming product, goods returned, ageing stock, customer returns, or alternative sources of raw materials.
- Fulfill periodic testing and recording requirements.
- Undertake Quality Lab-related administration tasks.
- Assist in preparation of new QC specifications and provision of information to ensure the on-going accuracy of such documentation.
- Devise and prepare new Test Procedures and assist in developing existing ones.
- Advise upon any laboratory equipment that could improve the efficiency and/or accuracy of Quality Control testing.
- Adhere to professional standards that ensure the quality and effectiveness of the laboratory.
- Maintain a high standard of laboratory cleanliness.
- Ensure that test equipment is properly and correctly used, calibrated, and maintained to specified standards and that safe working practices are always adopted.
- Ensure that adequate materials are available in the laboratory to fulfill the Quality Control function.
- Provide cover for holidays, absence, shift cover, and volume of work.
- Understand lean methodologies and their appropriate use to drive continuous improvement.
- Confident and comfortable in data-driven decision making when needed, and able to work on own initiative.
- A degree in chemistry or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience of working in a QC/R&D/Manufacturing/Production Environment.
- Experience of working in a laboratory environment.
- Practical experience/knowledge of handling building industry-related products.
- Working knowledge of MS Office, spreadsheets, databases, and emails.
- Ability to multi-task and handle workloads under pressure.
- Problem-solving and creative ability. Strong team player. Good interpersonal skills - able to form good working relationships with other departments. Good time keeping with a strong work ethic.
