About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with challenging behaviours at our primary school in Finchley. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with children who have challenging behaviours, helping them to navigate their day-to-day school life and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with challenging behaviours.
  • Collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Use positive behaviour management strategies to support student engagement and well-being.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and development.
Requirements
  • A qualification in supporting children with SEN is preferred, but experience working with children with challenging behaviours is also highly valued.
  • A passion for inclusive education and a commitment to supporting all students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with children and adults alike.
  • A flexible, patient, and positive attitude towards learning and development.
