Hydrological Software Developer

We are an equal opportunity employer seeking a talented Hydrological Software Developer to join our small, employee-owned team in South Oxfordshire. As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in advancing hydrological science and software development.
The successful candidate will have a strong academic background, a good first degree (upper second or higher) in a numerate discipline, and experience in Python and/or R coding. A clear understanding of hydrological and statistical models in commercial software is essential, as well as a passion for innovation and collaboration.
In this exciting role, you will:
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of hydrological models and software tools using Python or R.
- Collaborate with leading scientists at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology to improve software capabilities.
- Work on real-world applications with regulators and users to advance hydrological science and software development.
A generous salary of £27,000 to £41,000 (dependent on experience) is offered, along with a comprehensive range of benefits, including medicash health plan, virtual GP, and counselling services.
