Job Description: We seek a highly motivated and experienced Personal Development and Guidance Specialist to join our team, who will play a critical role in designing and implementing personalized career development plans for students from Year 7 to Year 13. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of careers education programs and maintain effective relationships with external partners.
Responsibilities:
- Foster engagement among students through innovative and interactive careers guidance initiatives.
- Provide tailored advice and support to students, signposting them to relevant resources and services.
- Facilitate one-to-one careers guidance sessions with students at key milestones or as needed.
- Nurture partnerships with employers, providers, and alumni to unlock new opportunities for students.
- Coordinate work experience placements for students in Year 10 and those participating in enrichment programs in the Sixth Form.
- Collaborate with the Careers Leader to design and deliver careers education lessons that are informative, engaging, and relevant.
- Support teachers in delivering careers-related lessons within the PSHE curriculum.
- Assist in the planning and execution of careers events, such as the Careers Fair and Enterprise Days.
- Maintain regular communication with parents, carers, and employers to ensure collaborative working relationships.
Required Skills and Qualifications: To excel in this role, you must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with students, colleagues, and external partners. A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is mandatory, accompanied by experience in careers guidance and education. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Estimated Salary: £30,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
