Job Description: We are seeking an exceptional Careers Guidance Professional to join our team, who will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering comprehensive careers education programs for students from Year 7 to Year 13. The successful candidate will support the planning, delivery, and assessment of these programs, collaborating closely with administrative staff to ensure seamless execution.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage students throughout their school journey by ensuring careers guidance is vibrant, interesting, and relevant.
  • Offer tailored careers advice to students and signpost individuals to appropriate support services.
  • Carry out one-to-one careers guidance meetings with students at key transition points or as required.
  • Develop links with employers, providers, and alumni to create opportunities for students.
  • Support the organization of work experience placements for students in Year 10 and those undertaking enrichment in the Sixth Form.
  • Secure work experience placements for students with administrative support and engage with students and employers to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Work with the Careers Leader to develop lessons for careers education that are up-to-date, engaging, and relevant.
  • Support the delivery of assemblies and lessons and assist teachers with careers lessons within the PSHE curriculum.
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination of careers events, including the Careers Fair, Enterprise Days, and Oxbridge Conference.
  • Accompany students on workplace and learning provider visits as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students and stakeholders alike. A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is essential, along with experience in careers guidance and education. Strong organizational and time management skills are also vital, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Estimated Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
