About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Siemens Energy in Lincoln, UK. As a key member of our Manufacturing Engineering Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement manufacturing processes for Gas Turbine components and sub-assemblies.
  • Create and maintain supporting documentation, including Manufacturing Routings, Layouts, and instructions.
  • Program and operate CNC machines, including CMMs, multi-axis Turning, Milling, Grinding, and EDM machines.
  • Investigate and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement quality awareness programs within manufacturing cells.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Design, Assembly, Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers.
  • Identify and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with LEAN manufacturing techniques and processes.
Requirements
  • Several years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, inspection technician, team leader, or machine operative.
  • Knowledge of Quality Control and inspection techniques.
  • Minimum of a time-served apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 in engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of HNC qualification (or higher) in a relevant subject.
