As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for defining manufacturing processes for Gas Turbine components and sub-assemblies. You will create and maintain supporting documentation, including manufacturing routings, layouts, and instructions. Additionally, you will perform NC programming of CMM's, multi-axis turning, milling, grinding, and EDM machines.

You will also be responsible for defining, performing, and implementing quality investigations into non-conformance through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Furthermore, you will define and procure jigs, fixtures, tooling, gauging, and lifting equipment, and inspect activities including the creation of non-conformance reports, in-process and final inspection protocols.

You will collaborate with supporting departments such as Design, Assembly, Quality, Procurement, and external suppliers to generate and implement cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing techniques and processes is essential.

What You Bring

  • Process / statistical control, customer care skills, SAP, interpersonal skill, process FMEA.
  • Several years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer / inspection technician / team leader / machine operative. Knowledge of Quality Control and inspection techniques is essential.
  • Minimum of a time served apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 in engineering or equivalent qualification. (Technician)
  • Minimum of HNC qualification (or higher) in relevant subject (Engineer)
