We are creating a new role at Consulting Director with a special focus on farming, food and environmental policies.

This role is situated in an ICF line of business that is focused on delivery of policy research and evaluation to the UK Government and EU institutions.

Our work covers issues at the top of today's policy agenda, including rural economy and agriculture.

We are looking for a seasoned evaluator, policy analyst and service leader with expertise in policies for farming, food and the environment.

You will contribute to a diverse range of large and complex consulting projects, directing and managing teams.

Your main responsibilities will be to work with senior managers to shape and deliver strategic growth for the team.

You will have the opportunity to lead and support technical excellence and innovation in evaluation and research.

You will direct projects to support project managers in delivering projects to time and budget.

You will manage and mentor staff and project teams, as appropriate.

You will lead business development opportunities and build networks and partnerships.

You will profile and promote ICF evaluation and research expertise and work.

Key responsibilities include managing large framework contracts, working with clients and research partners.

Key responsibilities also include contributing knowledge and expertise in the land, food and agriculture policy area.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of large and complex consulting projects, directing and managing teams.

Key Requirements

  1. Proven experience of working with government at senior levels
  2. Expertise in policy evaluation, research and analysis
  3. Demonstrable knowledge and interest in land management, agriculture, food chain and environmental policies
  4. Experience of managing projects, budgets, teams and client interactions
  5. Excellent writing and oral communication skills
  6. Highly-developed interpersonal skills and self-motivation
