Logistics Engineering Manager

A luxury Automotive OEM is seeking an experienced Logistics Engineering Manager to lead their logistics engineering team. This is a short-term role covering the early concept phases of a large-scale logistics project. We are looking for a proven logistics leader with broad knowledge of logistics engineering solutions, processes, systems, and equipment, as well as the latest market trends.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement logistics engineering solutions to support the company's new vehicle programs.
- Contribute to the development of layout plans for decks, marketplaces, and lineside in support of changes in model, volume, shift patterns.
- Establish business requirements, engage with stakeholders and customers, and present sound logistics engineering solutions.
- Lead the end result through to delivery, ensuring compliance with sustainability and health & safety standards.
- Previous experience and background in manufacturing logistics.
- Broad knowledge of logistics engineering solutions, processes, systems, and equipment, and the latest market trends.
- Experience or knowledge of project management and process improvement.
- Ability to maintain and interpret logistics data, with a broad understanding of the interfaces into vehicle platforms and plants.
- Strong IT skills and Microsoft package elements, including PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience working overseas or in an international project context, or a keen desire to do so.
- CAD skills to create and maintain lineside layout drawings.
