Logistics Engineering Lead

About the RoleThis is a highly demanding role that requires a strong background in engineering delivery works from conception through to delivery and completion. The successful candidate will have a bias towards any historic discipline, but must have a broad knowledge of logistic engineering concepts and systems used and on the market.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver all infrastructure works on time as defined in the project timing plans.
- Deliver all works within financial budgets.
- Deliver all infrastructure works to the defined quality standards as specified.
- Accountable for the delivery of logistics engineering projects within our client's plant, using both internal and external contractor resources.
- Drive a Zero Harm approach to safety in our designs and contractor performance.
- Be the responsible person for works carried out, including civil works, structural steel works, mechanical and electrical works and general engineering fit outs.
- Support the wider business planning, in scheme reviews, budget cost creation and justifications.
- Support the GME Infrastructure Manager in the development of Key Stakeholder relationships ensuring that GME is the primary source of all logistic engineering works.
- Support the GME Infrastructure Manager with the development and maintenance of all logistics engineering standards within ME, ensuring they are aligned to support the self-sufficiency operating model.
- Relevant degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred (but not essential) in Infrastructure, Plant, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines or industry.
- Excellent knowledge of logistic engineering methods, materials and skills effecting (fit for purpose).
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Knowledge and experience of supporting the development and costing of proposals, right through to delivery and final project completion.
- Core Health and Safety knowledge (contractor management) such as NEBOSH Certificate (Construction), IOSH, SMSTS or similar.
- Ability to change under pressure and be flexible in end solution requirements to meet our client's business needs.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and specifications in relation to physicals needed.
This role is a key position in the delivery of GME's core works, and covers a wide spectrum of delivery, from Feasibility, Procurement, Manufacture, Delivery, installation, commissioning and handover. Autocad exposure and the ability to create and modify engineering drawings are essential. Material flow understanding and the concept of logistic engineering developments on the market are also required.
This is a highly demanding role with green field opportunities providing a sense of autonomy and control over work and opportunities for growth and development.
