Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Psychiatric Liaison Service (PLS) leadership team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development and delivery of psychological services across the general hospital wards and A&E settings.

Main Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing specialist psychological assessment and treatment to patients with complex mental health needs
  • Developing and implementing psychological interventions to support patients with severe mental illness and high-risk presentations
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
  • Contributing to the development of integrated physical and mental health pathways

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Postgraduate Doctoral level training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology or equivalent accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Experience of working as a qualified Clinical or Counselling Psychologist at a highly specialist level
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
