About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Case Finalisation Administrator to join our team at Service Care Solutions - Social Work. As a Case Finalisation Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting the effective delivery of key aspects of the criminal justice system within Devon and Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update the Force Crime Database (CIS) and the Police National Computer for non-court disposals, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Administer the return, disposal, or destruction of seized property in accordance with CPIA guidelines, maintaining a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
  • Finalize case files, ensuring the submission of correct paperwork and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain records and supply information in accordance with Force policy and legislative requirements, demonstrating a strong understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
  • Input, retrieve, and present data using a computer, utilizing your technical skills to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in a professional manner, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Handle and store property appropriately, preserving its integrity and adhering to Health and Safety legislation and Force values.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of the Criminal Justice System, including the Criminal Procedures and Investigation Act 1996.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet targets.
  • Proven customer care skills, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional service and building strong relationships.
  • Awareness of CPIA and the Police National Computer, with experience in using role-specific IT systems.
  • Minimum keyboard speed of 35 wpm, with excellent typing skills and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Familiarity with the Criminal Procedures and Investigation Act 1996, with a strong understanding of its application and implications.
  • Experience with role-specific IT systems such as PNC Names/Offence Processing and CIS Basic, with a high level of proficiency and efficiency.
