About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated individual to support primary-aged children with special educational needs in Canterbury. As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers and build their confidence.

\

Main Responsibilities:

\
  • Offer personalised support to primary-aged students with special educational needs, such as autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, or social and emotional challenges.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted strategies tailored to each child's needs.
  • Work one-on-one or in small groups, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to deliver effective, child-centred support.
  • Help children develop crucial skills in communication, social interaction, and academic achievement.

Key Requirements:

\
  • Recent Psychology graduate with a strong understanding of child development and learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Able to demonstrate empathy, patience, and creativity when supporting children with complex needs.
\

Salary: £83.33 per day
