Childcare Practitioner Leader

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Childcare Practitioner Leader to join our team at Just Imagine Day Nursery in Wickford, London Road. This role involves supporting the development and care of children aged 2-4 years, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.

The successful candidate will be expected to work shifts between 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday, contributing to the smooth running of the nursery and ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and hygiene.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Create engaging and meaningful experiences for children, tailored to their individual needs and developmental stage.
2. Ensure adherence to the EYFS framework and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of practice.
3. Support the nursery manager in ensuring the safe and effective operation of the setting, prioritizing the wellbeing of children, staff, and families.
4. Develop strong relationships with parents and carers, communicating effectively and addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
5. Attend regular team meetings and contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and quality across the setting.

Requirements and Skills:

• A minimum of 1 year's experience working in Early Years settings, with a relevant Level 3 childcare qualification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, staff, and families.
• Prior knowledge of the EYFS framework and regulatory requirements is desirable.

Salary and Benefits: The salary for this position is estimated to be around £24,835.20 per annum, plus annual leave starting at 24 days, paid birthday day off, and bank holidays.
