Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at the Ministry of Defence (Defence Medical Services). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial assessments and formulate treatment plans for patients with mental health issues.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions for mental health problems, including individual and group therapy.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Manage and advise on therapeutic risk taking.
  • Maintain accurate and contemporaneous records of patient contact.

Requirements
  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Nurse (Mental Health) with Nursing Midwifery Registered Council with a demonstrable experience working at Band 5 or above.
  • Substantial post-qualification training and experience in at least 2 evidence-based psychological therapies.
