Document Controller

Join the Port of Dover team as a Document Controller, responsible for managing all aspects of document control for the Engineering function. This role is a key part of our Asset Management Team, ensuring that documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide tactical day-to-day oversight within projects to facilitate smooth collation and handover of documentation data in approved format
- Play an integral part in project delivery, handover, and maintenance of operational documentation, ensuring that assets are maintained and repaired effectively, efficiently, and to the appropriate standards of safety
- Set up and manage workflows, statuses, owners, and reviews of documentation
- Ensure compliance activities are carried out for documentation as needed
- Be actively involved in the improvement of document management processes and systems to meet current and future business needs
- GCSEs Grade 4 or above to include Maths and English
- Extensive document control experience, managing documentation from project inception through every stage of an asset's lifecycle
- Experience of working with and managing Document Management Systems
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel (formulas and macros), and Outlook
- Good working knowledge of MS Power Query for automation of routine data tasks and problem-solving or a demonstrable ability to learn Power Query
- Full UK driving license and use of own vehicle
