About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to join our team at Travis Perkins. As a key member of our health and safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our colleagues and the safety of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and support to Branch Managers and Regional Directors on health and safety matters.
  • Conduct regular HSE audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation.
  • Develop and implement effective risk reduction strategies to minimize the risk of accidents and incidents.
  • Collaborate with HR to support the Return to Work process for colleagues off due to lost time incidents.
  • Complete RIDDOR reporting requirements and review HSE data streams to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Branch Managers and colleague-led HSE forums to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate and at least 18 months post-qualification experience in a medium to high-risk business.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Pragmatic approach to applying risk reduction methods and a deep understanding of UK H&S legislation.
