Electrical Safety Engineering Manager

M Group Services Energy Division is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Safety Engineering Manager to join our Central SHEQ Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the business delivers projects safely and in compliance with legislative requirements, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all staff are operationally competent for their assigned duties in writing
- Maintain and develop all electrical external accreditations
- Maintain written policies and procedures across the whole scope of MUS electrical work
- Develop new documentation and processes as necessary
- Manage the team to provide a service across all electrical work streams to ensure a consistent approach to Competency
- Develop and implement electronic field records in association with other personnel
- Support the wider business interest, including business opportunities
- Represent M Group Services at national forums, including:
- Energy Network Association (ENA)
- Lloyds Register NERS Forum
- Lloyds Register NERSAP
- National Skills Academy for Power (NSAP)
- Association of Meter Operators (AMO)
- Meter Operators Code of Practice Agreement (MOCOPA)
- Educated to HNC or equivalent, with a preference for Degree level
- Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET)
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer preferred
- NICEIC
- Hold a Safety Qualification such as NEBOSH
- Strong operational background, preferably in association with DNOs or similar organisations
- Knowledge of Smart Metering and BS7671
- Team Management
- Good interpersonal skills and clear safety behaviours
- Clear focus on operational safety
- Understanding of the development of the power industry and its challenges
M Group Energy Division is a national business, and this role will require travel throughout the UK and occasional overnight stays.
