Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Calibration Technician to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Calibration department, you will be responsible for performing high-end calibrations and repairs on a wide range of electrical test, measurement and diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex electrical calibrations and repairs on a variety of equipment
  • Deliver targeted on-the-job training to team members and apprentices
  • Deputise for the team leader as required, including people and resource management
  • Develop and approve calibration procedures and measurement uncertainty budgets
  • Participate in quality audits, achieving UKAS signatory status

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience working in a precision electrical calibration laboratory environment
  • Understanding of quality systems and standards (ISO 17025/ISO 9001)
  • Relevant academic qualification (STEM degree, HNC/HND or equivalent)

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Existing UKAS signatory status for electrical calibration
  • Experience in creating measurement uncertainty budgets to ISO 17025 level
  • Experience in using automation software (Fluke Metcal, Met/Track, Met/Teams, Labview)
