About the Role

We are seeking an experienced nurse to join our thoracic surgery team at St. Bartholomew's Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of specialist services and support the lung cancer and lung volume reduction surgical pathways.

Main Responsibilities

The Thoracic Clinical Nurse Specialist will play a crucial role within the multi-professional team, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to patients undergoing thoracic surgery. This includes providing clinical care in line with national standards, participating in service development, quality and safety initiatives, audit, and research.

Key Requirements
  1. Extensive post-registration experience in a specialist setting
  2. Evidence of specialist thoracic knowledge
  3. Experience in team management and coordination of care
  4. Ability to work across organisational boundaries
  5. Formal presentation skills and IT skills
