About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Lead to join our team at The Disraeli School. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional medical assistance to our children with long-term medical needs.

As a Medical Lead, you will work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure the best possible care and support for our students. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in developing and implementing effective medical strategies to promote the health and wellbeing of our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Medical Team to provide high-quality medical assistance to children with long-term medical needs
  • Work with families to provide support and advice on medical matters
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care and communication
  • Develop and implement medical strategies to promote the health and wellbeing of our children
  • Collaborate with the Lead DSL, Attendance Officer, and SENDCo to support families with medical needs
Requirements
  • Medical qualifications (e.g., Nursing, Doctor)
  • Experience working in a medical or educational setting with children
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead a team and train staff as needed
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • IT literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Calm, reassuring, and supportive approach
  • Motivated to work with children, parents, and staff
