Job Title: Nursing Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified, experienced IBD nurse to join the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust team. We are looking for a highly motivated, confident, and enthusiastic nurse to provide high-quality patient care across our hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients with IBD, including IBD nurse clinics, telephone support, and biologic infusion services.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the effective use of resources.
  • Develop and implement plans with patients, prioritizing their needs and working under pressure.
  • Lead and introduce change, demonstrating sound management and leadership skills.
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse with a degree or degree-level education.
  • Physical Assessment and History Taking Course, 998 or equivalent teaching qualification, and evidence of continued professional development.
  • Experience in gastroenterology, multidisciplinary team working, and teaching in the practice setting.
  • In-depth understanding of IBD, pharmaceutical knowledge, medical and surgical intervention, and nutrition.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • GCP/Research qualification/experience, Counselling course, Prescribing qualification, and Working towards Masters-level education.
  • Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner, previous experience as an IBD CNS, and undertaking clinical audit.
