Key Responsibilities:- Provide specialized nursing care to patients with IBD, including IBD nurse clinics, telephone support, and biologic infusion services.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and contribute to the effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement plans with patients, prioritizing their needs and working under pressure.
- Lead and introduce change, demonstrating sound management and leadership skills.
- Registered General Nurse with a degree or degree-level education.
- Physical Assessment and History Taking Course, 998 or equivalent teaching qualification, and evidence of continued professional development.
- Experience in gastroenterology, multidisciplinary team working, and teaching in the practice setting.
- In-depth understanding of IBD, pharmaceutical knowledge, medical and surgical intervention, and nutrition.
- GCP/Research qualification/experience, Counselling course, Prescribing qualification, and Working towards Masters-level education.
- Experience of working as an autonomous practitioner, previous experience as an IBD CNS, and undertaking clinical audit.
- Motivation and enthusiasm, sensitivity to patient needs, approachability, resilience, and demonstration of ULHT Trust Values.
