Radiography Research Specialist

About the Role
The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join their radiology research team. As a Radiography Research Specialist, you will play a key part in the coordination of research activities, delivering research in terms of participant recruitment, image acquisition, data collection, and stakeholder engagement.
Main Responsibilities
- Act as a first point of contact within the department regarding audit and research issues.
- Contribute towards the implementation and development of quality assurance programmes, including departmental audit.
- Contribute towards the development of departmental policies and protocols.
- Set up and maintain study site files.

Essential
- Awareness of the changing demands on the health service.
- Knowledge of current issues in health research.
Desirable
- Knowledge of, or interest in, research projects.
- Knowledge of ethical and governance issues pertaining to research.
- Knowledge of, or interest in, teaching.
- Knowledge of appraisal/staff development programmes.
- Knowledge of relevant radiation safety regulations and relevant protocols.
Qualifications
Essential
- BSc Radiography or relevant health science degree.
- HCPC Registered.
- Evidence of continuous professional development appropriate to the post.
Desirable
- Masters degree or evidence of recent postgraduate study in a health-related subject.
Experience
Essential
- Experience of working in a UK Imaging department.
- Experience of undertaking audit and evidence-based evaluation.
- Experience of complex clinical situations.
- Evidence of conducting audits within the NHS or equivalent organisation.
Desirable
- Experience in the development of and/or participation in research projects.
- Evidence of contribution towards managing resources.
- Experience of writing for publication.
