We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Pediatric Nurse Leader to join our team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.

As a Band 6 Quality Nurse, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of high-quality patient care on our 10-bedded ward specialising in Paediatric Renal and Urology. You will work closely with the Ward Manager to ensure that patients receive safe and effective care, and that the ward runs smoothly on a daily basis.

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing wards and teams, and will be able to demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills. They will also have a proven track record of improving patient outcomes and experiences, and will be committed to ongoing professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the delivery of high-quality patient care on the ward
  • Work closely with the Ward Manager to ensure smooth ward operations
  • Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and experiences
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ward staff
  • Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

  • Degree or working towards a degree in Nursing
  • Evidence of performance reviews and continuous professional development
  • EPALS/AplS or willing to complete on next available course
  • Experience of managing wards and teams
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
