**Responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor**

The Shift Supervisor will report to the Plant Manager and be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of production employees in a mill environment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and assigning work to ensure efficient production workflows
  • Supervising production lines for safety, product quality, and efficiency
  • Training, motivating, and coaching employees to achieve Best in Class (BIC) standards
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to enhance performance metrics

**Requirements for Success**

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A high school degree, with technical or formal training preferred
  • Two to four years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with proven leadership experience
  • Knowledge of wood products manufacturing processes, with a strong understanding of quality management principles
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and team-building skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
