About the Role

DP World is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Team Manager to join their Terminal Operating System (TOS) team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the TOS system, managing the team, and contributing to project execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide inputs to the development of strategy, policy, and standards for TOS.
  • Engage with the user community to collect information about problems and lead users through diagnostic procedures.
  • Practice compliance to policies and standards and answer inquiries regarding status on resolving generic IT and specific business application problems.
  • Configure, install, and maintain TOS, its specific modules, and its interfaces with other applications.
  • Proactive maintenance, support, and execute day-to-day administration and operational support for TOS.
  • Contribute to the implementation of Application portfolio - ERP and other applications when applicable.
  • Day-to-day interaction with vendors for hardware and standard software in accordance with Company IT policy and standards.
  • Execute IT Business Application configurations and specifications for deployment/commissioning of container terminal specific equipment.
  • Install, modify, and make minor repairs to applications and provide technical assistance and training to system users.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a managerial role is essential.
  • Terminal operations experience is essential.
  • Automated or semi-automated terminal experience would be beneficial.
  • IT degree or qualifications would be beneficial.
  • A proven track record of successful project implementation of the TOS system.
  • Experience dealing with projects from gathering requirements to implementation.
  • Able to devise IT test plans and implement them, including training users.
  • Be able to use initiative and act independently or as part of a larger team, able to prioritize workload to meet requirements as set by Line Manager.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple duties at once.
  • Able to be on call under a rotation plan with the systems team.
