Deputy Director of Nursing Community Health Services Lead

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director of Nursing to join our team at West London NHS Trust. As a key member of our senior management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing services across our community health services.
Main Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership
Provide strategic nursing input at senior management level, ensuring effective advice is provided to the CSU senior management team to deliver high-quality mental health services.
Nursing DevelopmentContribute to trust-wide and local nursing developments, overseeing the implementation of the nursing strategy and reporting progress to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Disciplinary and Service InvestigationsConduct disciplinary and service investigations as requested by the Director of Integrated Community Health Services and Chief Nursing Officer, advising senior managers in disciplinary hearings.
Collaboration and CommunicationWork closely with service managers, Heads of Profession, and external agencies to plan and deliver high-quality health services locally, introducing new systems for public, service user, and carer involvement based on feedback and patient experience.
Clinical GovernanceEnsure effective local clinical governance arrangements are in place, in line with the Trust Quality Governance Framework, working with the Director, Deputy Director, and Head of Patient Safety.

Requirements
- Nurse/Registered General Nurse qualification
- Registered Mental Health Nurse/Learning Disability qualification
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Five years' experience at a senior management level, including managing change and introducing new ways of working for mental health nurses and practitioners
- Experience of delivery of forensic mental health care
- Demonstration of sound and effective leadership skills
- Experience of setting, monitoring, and evaluating standards of care
- Experience of working in a culturally diverse inner city area
- Experience of preparing and presenting reports at Executive level
- Experience of setting therapeutic boundaries with patients who exhibit extreme challenging and high-risk behaviours
