About the Position:

  • We are currently recruiting a Technical Buyer / Material Controller to join our client's Prototype Engineering and Supply Chain Team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical buying and material control of carry-over and non-stock part demand. The estimated salary for this role is £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This contract role involves supporting the delivery of early-phase prototype builds. The individual will assist with the procurement of both stock and non-stock parts for the Prototype Team's needs, promoting a lean approach to purchasing while ensuring key objectives are achieved efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have experience working across multiple commodities in Automotive, Motorsport, or Engineering environments, with a proven track record of commercial success in supply chain, procurement, or technical buying roles.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and assessing supplier performance, coordinating with internal teams for improvements, and collaborating with the wider purchasing and logistics teams to meet team goals.

A strong IT skillset, particularly with MS Office, is essential, as well as experience in using CAD systems (preferably CATIA) for part reviews and familiarity with SAP systems. Previous experience in material planning and control is also preferred.
