Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Estimated Salary: 80,000 - 110,000 GBP per annum

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Motorsport-Total GmbH. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process for new programmes, working closely with the Commodity Procurement team and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the procurement function and processes, as well as experience of managing multi-national suppliers.

In this role, you will work closely with the Commodity Procurement team to understand category strategies and ensure that they are up-to-date and relevant for new programme requirements.

You will also be responsible for running the RFQ process, analysing supplier responses, and delivering comprehensive quotations to support negotiation and contracting.

A key aspect of this role is building strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including VLD and Engineering, to deliver 'one voice' to the McLaren supplier base.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A university degree in Business or Engineering (ideally automotive, aerospace or mechanical)
  • At least 3 years' experience as a buyer and senior buyer with an Automotive Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or similar
  • Experience of delivering procurement activities for new programmes aligned to category strategies and through cross-functional collaboration with Engineering
  • Well-proven skills in Quotation Analysis Form (QAF) interrogation and good understanding of suppliers' cost drivers
  • Fluent written and verbal English
