McLaren Automotive Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-performance vehicles, known for its innovative designs and cutting-edge technology.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our team and support the launch of new vehicle platforms.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing first-hand support in the development and launch into production of future McLaren Automotive vehicle platforms and variants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure the successful launch of new vehicle platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Train and mentor technicians and team members to achieve high-quality working practices and processes.
  • Assist in maintaining series Team Member versatility charts and ensure cross-training and skills development.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to and that all Team Members are using the correct protective clothing.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of automotive processes and specific skills for the area in question. A foundation degree in engineering would be preferred, but a technical background in an engineering discipline would be considered.

A good level of knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and training in COSHH awareness are also essential.

Salary Information

We estimate the salary for this role to be in the range £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
