About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated professional to join our Telecare and Sensory Team. As a Specialist Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Officer, you will work closely with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide expert advice and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct sensory needs assessments and reviews under the Care Act 2014
  • Provide equipment, minor adaptations, lighting assessments, and vision rehabilitation
  • Mentor and supervise staff, including apprentices
  • Manage a caseload of specialist visual impairment rehabilitation
  • Provide visual impairment advice and support to colleagues across Adult Social Care
  • Develop and maintain strong links with partner agencies
  • Advocate for residents to access appropriate services
