We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Specialist Visual Impairment Rehabilitation Officer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work within our Telecare and Sensory Team, supporting residents with Sight Loss, Hearing Loss, and Dual Sensory Loss (Deafblind) to meet their social care needs, promote their independence, and help them achieve their goals and outcomes in order to improve their wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake Sensory Needs assessments/reviews under the Care Act 2014
  • Provide equipment, minor adaptations, lighting assessments, and vision rehabilitation
  • Mentor and supervise staff, including apprentices
  • Manage a caseload of specialist visual impairment rehabilitation
  • Provide visual impairment advice and support to colleagues across Adult Social Care
  • Develop and maintain strong links with partner agencies
  • Advocate for residents to access appropriate services
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual impairment and sensory support, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
