About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Conference & Banqueting Associate / Event Service Expert to join our team at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that every event is a success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full product knowledge of all menu items and their service.
  • Confidently serve drinks from our Banquet Bar during dinner functions.
  • Maintain an elevated service standard within the Conference and Banqueting department.
  • Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order brief.
  • Set rooms for events, preparing tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dining tables, coffee bars, full bar, etc.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements and ensure buffet items are consistent and refreshed.
  • During dinner functions, assist in our banqueting bar and with drinks service.
  • Facilitate banqueting clients and manage every reasonable request to provide wonderful customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.
Requirements
  • A warm, people-oriented demeanor.

  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking ability.
  • The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time across a work shift.
  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality setting is preferred.
