Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client, a leading manufacturing company in the FMCG industry. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site, with a focus on electrical and mechanical maintenance.

About the Role

  • As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for performing electrical and mechanical maintenance tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
  • You will work closely with the maintenance team to ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and ensuring that all equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities for improvement in the maintenance process.

Requirements

  • Multi skilled engineer with electrical qualifications, either electrical or mechanically biased.
  • Time served engineer with a recognised apprenticeship.
  • The ideal candidate will hold an ONC/HNC qualification.
  • Experience working with maintenance planning systems.
  • Strong understanding of H&S, IOSH qualifications are desirable.
  • Experience with CMMS, management, deployment and auditing.
  • Excellent computer and communication skills.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation will be at the heart of your work.
  • Experience of RCA processes.
  • Experience of food manufacturing and BRC requirements would be preferred.

Responsibilities

  • You will have a good understanding of modern maintenance techniques as well as good working operational knowledge of a food Manufacturing site.
  • You should also be capable of ensuring a quick reaction to daily business needs and be able to balance this against dedicating an appropriate amount of time and energy to developing improvement strategies and action plans.
