We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile engineer to join our team at Premier Foods, a leading British food company. As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our manufacturing processes, ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

About the Role

  • Proactive maintenance and inspection work to ensure optimal equipment performance
  • Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Automation experience and exposure to cutting-edge equipment and machinery
  • Collaborative relationship between engineers and operations teams
  • Career progression routes into supervisor and management or cross-functionally

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise and assist in the design, installation, and commissioning of projects and small initiatives
  • Ensure plant and equipment systems perform to manufacture product efficiently to high quality standards
  • Assist with training and support of non-electrically biased engineers and electrical engineers
  • Support the engineering and manufacturing functions to achieve KPIs and optimal line efficiency
  • Contribute to and help implement continuous improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC/HNC or equivalent qualification in engineering
  • Previous experience of automated manufacturing environments
  • Working understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic technical manuals and drawings
