Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading Food manufacturer in the Wednesbury area. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production plant, machinery, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake planned and reactive maintenance across both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines
  • Work closely with the Engineering Manager and maintenance team to implement changes, improvements, and optimize each line for production
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and resolve maintenance issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our production processes and equipment, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Provide excellent communication and teamwork skills, working effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in maintenance for Food/FMCG production environments
  • Ability to work 1 allocated night shift in the week (Mon-Thurs night)
  • Good communication skills, comfortable in making suggestions where machinery or process changes can be made to save waste or improve production
  • A good team player who is able to both give and receive positive communications especially under stressful breakdown situations
