Job Title: Android Software Engineering Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Android Software Engineering Lead to join our team at Lloyds Banking Group. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our Android mobile applications, working closely with our product and engineering leads to achieve our vision and customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of our Android mobile applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with our product and engineering leads to define and deliver our mobile app features, working closely with our UI/UX designers and solution architects.
  • Mentor and coach our junior engineers, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
  • Act as a technical authority in your area, providing guidance and support to your colleagues.
  • Work closely with our DevOps team to ensure our mobile apps are deployed and maintained efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a Senior Android Engineer, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality mobile applications.
  • Excellent programming skills, with a deep working knowledge of Kotlin and Java, and experience with the Android SDK and Jetpack Compose.
  • Diverse technical experience, with a proven ability to deliver mobile customer experiences across variable screen sizes and Android versions.
  • Experience mentoring staff up to senior engineering level, with a strong ability to communicate technical ideas effectively.
