Android Software Engineering Lead

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an experienced Android Software Engineering Lead to join our Everyday Banking Platform team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our mobile application features, working closely with solution architects and UI/UX designers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the implementation of mobile application features, utilizing Kotlin and Java, and the Android SDK and Jetpack Compose.
  2. Mentor and coach upcoming to mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
  3. Collaborate with the engineering team to deliver high-quality mobile customer experiences.
  4. Represent the Digital Card & Ways to Pay Lab and the wider Everyday Banking Platform as a technical specialist and authority.

Requirements:

  1. Significant experience as a Senior Android Engineer, with a passion for remaining hands-on technical.
  2. Excellent programming skills, with a deep working knowledge of Kotlin and Java, and the Android SDK and Jetpack Compose.
  3. Diverse technical experience and a proven track record of delivering high-quality mobile customer experiences.
  4. Advocate for quality, supporting the team using CI/CD best practices, pair programming, secure coding, TDD, and BDD.
