About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Urology Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist Team at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality holistic care, treatment, education, health promotion, and well-being to patients with urological cancer, while supporting their families and carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert care and support to patients with urological cancer, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and communication with patients, families, and carers.
  • Develop and implement education and health promotion programs to support patients and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to urological cancer care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a valid NMC registration.
  • Experience in urology or oncology nursing.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of urological cancer care and treatment options.
