Biomedical Laboratory Specialist

Role Overview:
The Biomedical Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for supporting research projects and laboratory operations at the University of Leeds. This role requires a highly skilled laboratory technician with expertise in cell culture and molecular biology techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting research projects through laboratory experiments, data analysis, and reporting.
- Developing and maintaining primary cell cultures for experimental use.
- Assisting in the development of new cell lines and contributing to the generation of independent pure myoblast cultures.
- Providing technical expertise in western blotting, qRT-PCR, cell imaging, and functional studies using dissected muscle samples.
Requirements:
- Degree-level qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in laboratory techniques, particularly cell culture.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Salary: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience.
