Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Automated Systems

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at a leading automated distribution organisation. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all automated materials handling systems.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide electrical and mechanical support and repairs for all automated materials handling systems
* Carry out PPMs, reactive maintenance, and project work
* Work on conveyors, automated stacker cranes, SCADA systems, barcode readers, scanners, cooling systems, site services, palletisers, automated turntables, PLCs, elevators
* Work in a cold storage facility
* Carry out reactive and planned maintenance of automated stacker cranes that can operate up to 42 metres high
* Assist in developing PPM schedules for all of the new machinery and systems

Requirements:

* Must have some form of formal electrical qualification - i.e. City & Guilds, NVQ, 17th or 18th Edition
* Happy working at heights - up to 42 metres on cranes
* Comfortable working in cold and freezer degree conditions
* Due to health and safety regulations to go up on cranes - must weigh under 19st (125kg)
* Ideally be a multi-skilled engineer
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and problem solving skills
* Must have worked in a maintenance engineering role previously
* Ideally have worked in automated warehouse, distribution, FMCG, manufacturing
* Experienced in working on conveyors, rollers, stackers
* PLC - electrical fault finding skills would be beneficial
