Our Return to Practice program provides a seconded route into midwifery, allowing you to refresh your skills and knowledge while working as a Band 3 Maternity Support Worker.

About Our Return to Practice Program
  • We offer a unique opportunity to work alongside our teams, refreshing your skills and confidence in patient care.
  • You will be supported to apply for a place on one of our Return to Practice courses, hosted by various universities, where you can further develop your expertise.
  • On successful completion of the program and return of your NMC PIN, you will convert to a Band 5 preceptee midwife, embarking on a preceptorship period that sets you up for long-term success.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary estimated at £28,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • The university fees will be paid for you, ensuring no financial burden during your training.
  • Continued payment as a band 3 while you train, providing financial stability throughout your journey.
  • Access to role-specific training, both in-person and online learning, to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • A comprehensive preceptorship program upon re-entry to the register, supporting your continued growth and development.
Job Requirements
  • Previous full registration with the NMC.
  • Maths/English GCSE or above.
  • NiPE Trained (desirable).
  • Minimum two years of experience as a midwife (desirable).
