About the Job

We are looking for a talented Mechanical Area Business Class Lead to join our team in the United Kingdom. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our staff, developing talent, and driving technical excellence in project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead by Example: Represent HDR with a client-centric approach, work collaboratively with area business class leaders, and engage with fellow leads to drive technical excellence and project delivery.
  • Manage Staff: Address personnel issues, delegate responsibilities, recruit and develop talent, and strategically plan the business class group at the area level.
  • Recruit and Develop Talent: Mentor staff, conduct annual reviews, provide technical guidance, and help staff with professional development and career plans.
  • Work Delegation and Staffing: Coordinate workload needs with Project Managers, assign staff to projects, and align workload with project schedules and staff expertise.
  • Project Delivery Accountability: Monitor project budgets and schedules, communicate with staff and Project Managers, and ensure project information is clearly understood.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
  • 10 years of experience.
  • Commitment to quality, improvement and HDR values.
  • Possesses a professional or engineering registration and has relevant technical experience in team development and management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to our employee-owned culture.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated £90,000 - £110,000 per year, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
